Ah. beliefs… the fundamental tenets of our existence. They’re at the core of our values, the way we see the world and interact with it.
Beliefs are powerful as they can drive us to all sort of actions whether they prove to be rational or not. The History Books are riddled with events that were mainly fueled by beliefs in certain things rather than an actual knowledge of the things themselves. Strangely enough, as powerful they prove to be, beliefs can also be quite brittle, and certain kinds of persuasion can erode them (the difficulty varies with each person) to build something new in their place.
Today’s piece is a humorous exercise on beliefs. What do you believe in? Whatever it is, I hope one of those things is that you’re going to have a wonderful weekend. Enjoy.
“Please tell me your last session was good,” Drew said.
“It was great,” Bob revealed. “I apologised to my Mistress.”
“Apologised for what?”
“For doubting that pigs have wings, the sun revolves around the Earth and that Justin Bieber is the President…”
“I think your Mistress is messing with your mind.”
